The Basadi in Music Awards (BIMA) has expanded its reach into the global music industry, embracing artists from across Africa. The announcement was made at a prestigious event held at the renowned Joburg Theatre on 29th June 2023. With the support of prominent sponsors, the event showcased the nominees in 24 categories and recognized recipients of special awards. The CEO’s Mosadi in Business Achievement Award recognized the exceptional leadership, innovation, and resilience of Nhlanhla Mafu, Thando Thabethe, and Boity in their respective ventures. The Mosadi in Music in Africa Award honored Berita (Zimbabwe), Maleh (Lesotho), Mpho Sebina (Botswana), Sefa (Ghana), and Victoria Kimani (Kenya) for their significant contributions to the music industry in their countries and throughout Africa.
