SASOLBURG, Free State — The stage is set for one of the year’s most anticipated celebrations of talent and achievement. The Big Up Awards 2025, hosted by Mjazz Magonline, will take place on Saturday, 23 August 2025 at the Harry Gwala Multi-Purpose Sport Centre in Sasolburg.
This year’s ceremony will bring together 50+ remarkable nominees from across South Africa, competing in 14 diverse categories that honour excellence in business, creativity, and impactful community work. Among the notable nominees are Pamela (former Mrs South Africa), Uyanda (Big Brother SA runner-up), Nozipho Ntshengase from The Mommy Club SA, and Ofentse Pitse from The Mommy Club Nairobi.
The awards go beyond recognition, offering winners valuable opportunities such as adventure experiences, and networking platforms designed to help them grow their ventures and influence.
Adding to the prestige of the event, royal delegations from Eswatini, Nongoma, and other regions will be in attendance, alongside the Bakwena Royal House and Abbaqua Royal House. Their choice of Sasolburg as the host city reflects their belief in the Free State’s untapped potential, where talent and resources abound but opportunities for high-profile national events remain rare.
“This is more than just an awards ceremony, it is a platform to spotlight and uplift talent from across the nation while showing that Sasolburg can host events of national significance,” says Tshego Maloka, founder of Mjazz Magonline.
The Big Up Awards 2025 will welcome over 150 guests, with live coverage and interviews capturing the energy of Sasolburg’s landmark celebration.
Media representatives are invited to attend, meet the honourees, and document a night that promises to be as inspiring as it is spectacular in the heart of Sasolburg.
