A baby cry at the end of the tunnel

While some women chose not to have children for different reasons, it being for their careers or cultural or religious reasons and some for social reasons . And it is very imperative that as society we be respectful of the decision and what ever reason they have . And on the other hand some women are doing everything they know and can think of to get pregnant . Thing is when a woman gets pregnant she gets all sorts of emotions and two that any pregnant woman can relate with us joy and fear . The joy of having some grown in you ,the joy of grooming a person into a great human like a mother to be would sit and think about what morals they would install in their kid and what school they would send their kid. The fear of loosing the pregnancy though pregnant women do not say this loud but deep down they are afraid of loosing the pregnancy that is why they do everything in their power to be healthy and stay healthy. For Mrs Thandolethu Sanjana say the first she got pregnant she was ecxited and little did she know that the excitement would turn into sorrow, that was the first pregnant and the first of 4 miscarriages she and her husband had. Thandolethu and Phillimon Sanjana say the miscarriage hit them hard ,it almost cost them their marriage the insults from her in-laws and the self blame almost drove them Apart until a friend recommended that they to counselling and they used one at their local church. As they dealt with the first miscarriage they fell pregnant for the second time and They did everything right tried to avoid what they think they did wrong the first time , and still they lost the pregnancy too . That was like all the progress they made in counselling went down the drain and they found themselves right they began before counselling ,the insults got worse and she felt like she is failing her husband and this time their intimate( sexual)relationship took a knock ,Thandolwethu said they even slept in different bedrooms just to avoid to be intimate and she said for her it was the fear of being pregnant, she said she believed she was the one with the problem her womb was weak and she was shattered and lost hope . She said at this point she decided to seek help from medical to spiritual help she went but still nothing changed. However hard they tried not fall pregnant she found herself pregnant but this time she was bit hopefully because Doctors said she was fine and spiritual healer had assured that she is now well the issue is resolved and so the third pregnancy was not much of a scare however she lost the third pregnancy too . The forth and fruitful pregnancy this time she said she just felt that she should allow God do what he sees good and she said this time she she didn’t attend any doctors appointment she just went through the natural process and she and her husband for some reason started praying together she said at first she thought of abortion however when she found out she was pregnant it was too late for an abortion so she stuck out the first trimester past nothing happened the second trimester past nothing happened that was a good sign then the third trimester . She was just hopeful and praying but she past the fourtie week mark and she began to panic the fourtie five week her water broke and she put to bed and gave birth to a healthy baby boy and this year she celebrated her fisrt mother’s day and she said she was filled with joy and still in disbelief . After every she and her husband has been through they stayed together and not they are first time parents and Mr Sanjana says he can not wait for father’s day. Written By: Bridget
How to Layer for Warmth Without Looking Like a Marshmallow

Staying warm in cold weather doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your style. If you’ve ever felt like a puffed-up marshmallow in winter gear, you’re not alone. Luckily, there’s a way to layer for warmth without looking like a marshmallow, and it all comes down to smart choices in materials, fit, and order. Start with a Thin, Thermal Base Layer Your first layer should be close-fitting and moisture-wicking. Think merino wool or synthetic thermals that trap heat but stay breathable. This essential layer keeps you warm without adding bulk and sets the foundation for efficient layering. Add Insulating Mid-Layers Next comes insulation. Choose light yet warm pieces like fleece, thin down vests, or synthetic fill jackets. These materials retain heat but compress easily, helping you layer for warmth without looking like a marshmallow. Avoid heavy knits or thick sweatshirts that add bulk without maximizing heat retention. Choose a Tailored, Weather-Resistant Outer Layer Your outermost layer should be wind- and water-resistant, but also cut in a flattering shape. Look for coats with structure—such as belted waists or tailored seams—that maintain warmth while enhancing your silhouette. Opting for down jackets with a slim profile or packable puffers is key. Use Accessories Strategically Hats, scarves, and gloves can add warmth without extra layers. These smaller items help regulate temperature without bulking up your core. Choose sleek, functional accessories to complete your cold-weather look. Final Tips to Avoid the Marshmallow Look Stick to three core layers, mix textures, and avoid layering two bulky items. By planning each layer intentionally, you’ll layer for warmth without looking like a marshmallow and stay effortlessly chic, no matter the temperature. Mastering how to layer for warmth without looking like a marshmallow means embracing fashion and function—because winter style should never feel like a snowman costume.

Lessons from the Valley—Tshegofatso Turns Failure into Purpose

When Failure Becomes Fuel Failure doesn’t mean the end. Sometimes, it’s where the story truly begins. Tshegofatso Maloka proves this with the release of her two powerful books: 120 Nuggets of Insight and Marriage Godly Tailored. 120 Nuggets of Insight is filled with lessons life forced her to learn — through failure, unexpected hurt, and moments of rising again. The book shares 120 quotes, divided into six themes: entrepreneurship, mindset, motivation, relationships, owning your space, and life’s lessons. Each quote speaks from a place of truth. Of trying. Of failing. Of starting again. “Everything in life happens exactly how it’s supposed to happen,” she reflects. “The pain, the setbacks, the failures, the disappointments — it all shaped this version of me.” One quote stands out: “Failure is a detour, not a dead-end.” It’s a reminder to keep going, even when everything feels stuck. The Book She Feared to Release Marriage Godly Tailored was written in 2019 but kept hidden until now. Tshegofatso explains that releasing a book on marriage felt like a risk — especially after facing her own failure in that area. “When you grew up watching your parents do marriage with grace, when you serve in church and you’re seen as a role model — failing can shatter you,” she says. But the book helped her see marriage differently. Not as a performance, but as God’s vision. She speaks on submission, love, and what it really means when the Bible says, “A man should love his wife as Christ loves the church.” This isn’t just for married people. It’s for singles too — for those figuring it out, healing, or preparing for the real thing. Want to Be Part of This Journey? You can also join the Affiliation Program and earn a 40% commission by helping sell these books. Just check the page: “Join our affiliation program” in the site menu. Let’s grow, let’s heal, and let’s rise — even after failure.
