After five memorable seasons of sharing his life, growth, and truth with South Africa, Innocent Matijane has officially announced his departure from The Way Ngingakhona. In a heartfelt statement released on social media, Inno made it clear, this time, it’s a real and final goodbye.
“This show has been a big part of my life and a place where many people got to witness my story unfold in real time,” he wrote. And honestly, that’s exactly what we’ve seen over the years, a raw and powerful journey of identity, faith, love, and resilience.
Innocent has never been one to shy away from telling it like it is. His presence on the show gave many viewers the courage to live in their truth and embrace all parts of themselves. But now, as he steps into a new chapter, he does so with intention and peace.
“When I was back this season, I wasn’t sure if it was the right thing to do,” he shared. “But I accepted because I wanted to share one last piece of His truth. I hope that people saw my heart.”
It’s clear that this decision wasn’t made in haste or bitterness. In fact, Inno went out of his way to thank the production team, his castmates, and the supporters who’ve stood by him throughout the years. He emphasized that his departure is rooted in growth, faith, and the desire to build a future aligned with where he is spiritually and personally.
He also reassured fans that this isn’t the end of his storytelling journey. “I still believe in the power of storytelling. I love the medium and its potential to reflect truth and purpose.”
To Innocent Matijane, we say thank you. Thank you for being honest, for being vulnerable, and for letting the world walk with you through the ups and downs. Your presence on The Way Ngingakhona was more than entertainment, it was a movement and a ministry in its own right.
We wish you nothing but the best in whatever comes next. May this new chapter be filled with purpose, clarity, and the kind of peace that stays.
