You living in ekasi and yes every now and then you eat fancy I mean times have changed and what we eat has also changed no surprise !
But now and then one misses the kind of food that brought us up and one that stands out for me is Kota or Sphatlho or Skhambane as some call it .however over the years how this ekasi treat is prepared has changed . Myself on the other hand I grew up eating panakota and now and then I make it myself at home here is how one would make panakota at home You will need :
Ingredients
Instructions
You cut the bread in half then you cut the half in quarter. Then you hallow out the meddle , you apply peanut butter then you put Atchar the you place the Polony , cheese and Vienna then you close the whole thing with that hallowed piece of bread then voila!
And for those that grew up eating normal Kota which is an ekasi vision of a burger then one would need the following :
Ingredients
Instructions
You cut the bread same as above and hallow it same as aboveand if you like you can toast the bread first , you add the Atchar on the bread ,add lettuce and cucumber if you are us , add Polony and cheese then put the chips on top of everything then you add spices and sources for extra flavour the close with the piece you hallowed out.
You can enjoy either meal with a soda drink of your choice or juice if you like.
