Mama Sheep and Papa Sheep had Mzansi guessing right until the end of The Masked Singer South Africa, but on Saturday the masks finally came off to reveal none other than the lovely couple, Simphiwe Ngema and Tino Chinyani. The duo had become fan favourites with their performances, making their elimination a surprise for many viewers who had expected them to go further in the competition. Their energy, chemistry and stage presence had audiences entertained throughout their time on the show.
J’Something was the one detective who managed to crack the case, correctly guessing Simphiwe and Tino before the reveal. One of the clues that helped point him in the right direction was a Range Rover connection, which linked back to Simphiwe’s Instagram post about her new Rover, where she wrote, “Call me Ms Rover.” While the other detectives had their own theories, J’Something trusted the clue trail and got it right. The reveal gave viewers the answer they had been waiting for, and proved once again that The Masked Singer SA can keep even the most familiar faces hidden in plain sight.
