Self-care provides survivors with an opportunity to reconnect with their bodies and remind themselves that they are worthy of care and kindness. Ultimately, through therapy and self-care, survivors of trauma can begin to redefine beauty on their terms, embracing their individuality and reclaiming their self-worth.
