The 17th Metro FM Music Awards were a real showstopper! The star-studded soirée, which took place on May 6th, 2023 at Mbombela Stadium, Mpumalanga, was all that anyone could talk about! This year’s theme “Black is Back ” definitely lived up to its name, with the likes of Lerato Kganyago and Katlego Maboe making sure things run smoothly, while the talented duo, SomGAGA and Mpumi, kept things lively behind the scenes. AKA was undoubtedly the biggest winner of the night, taking home no less than four awards, including Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration Song, Best Hip-Hop Artist, and Best Male Artist of the Year. But that’s not all – other amazing performers like Dj Tira, Babes Wodumo, Nasty C, and Sjava delivered electrifying performances that had the crowd on their feet!
