How to apply makeup for TV screens

If you’re looking to get camera-ready for a television appearance, then you’ll need to know the basics of how to apply makeup for TV screens. TV screens require a different makeup technique than what you’d use for daily wear. The goal is to create a look that looks natural and polished on screen, and that won’t appear too shiny or too heavy. The first step is to use a good quality foundation that matches your skin tone. Make sure to blend it well and cover any redness, discoloration, or blemishes. If you need to add more coverage, you can use a concealer. Next, it’s time to start contouring. Contouring helps to give your face shape and dimension. To do this, use a bronzer or a cream foundation a shade or two darker than your skin tone to create shadows. Use a brush to apply the product to the hollows of your cheeks, your temples, and the sides of your nose. Then, use a lighter shade of foundation (or a highlighter) to bring out your features, such as your cheekbones and brow bones. Once the contouring is finished, it’s time to apply blush. Choose a shade that complements your skin tone and is not too bright. Apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend it outward. Finally, it’s time to add the finishing touches. Start by filling in your eyebrows with a brow pencil. Then, use a waterproof mascara to make your lashes look longer and thicker. You can also apply a light layer of eyeshadow in neutral shades. When it comes to lips, you’ll want to use a lip liner to outline your lips and a lip color that matches your skin tone. Finish with a clear or light-colored lip gloss. By following these steps, you can create a look that will appear natural and polished on TV screens. Remember to keep your makeup light and use products that match your skin tone for the best results. Good luck!

Why Are Brands going for independent artists?

In today’s digital age, there is an ever-growing demand for independent artists and their unique sounds and visions. Brands are now looking to independent artists to provide the perfect soundtracks for their campaigns and to help promote their products and services. But why are brands going for independent artists? One of the main reasons why brands are going for independent artists is that they offer something different and unique. Independent artists often create music that is outside the mainstream and offer a refreshing take on current trends. This allows brands to stand out in a crowded marketplace and create campaigns that are more memorable and impactful. Additionally, independent artists often have a dedicated following, which can be leveraged by brands to spread the word about their products or services. Another reason why brands are going for independent artists is that they often offer a more affordable option. Compared to signing a major label artist, signing with an independent artist can be significantly less expensive. This allows brands to get the music they need for their campaigns without breaking the bank. As a result, brands can use their budget for other aspects of their campaigns, such as marketing, advertising, and more. Finally, brands are going for independent artists because they often have a connection to their local communities. Independent artists are often more in-tune with the tastes and trends of their local communities, which can be instrumental in creating campaigns that resonate with a particular audience. This helps brands to create campaigns that are more meaningful and effective. In conclusion, there are many reasons why brands are going for independent artists. They offer something different and unique, they are often more affordable, and they have a connection to their local communities. All of these factors make independent artists an attractive option for brands looking to create campaigns that stand out and resonate with their audience.

What makes a fashion show to stand out?

Fashion shows are a great way to showcase a designer’s latest collection, but what makes a fashion show stand out from the rest? It takes more than just a great collection of clothes to make a fashion show memorable – it takes creativity, innovation, and a unique vision. Here are some of the key components that make a fashion show stand out: Unique Venue Choosing an unexpected venue can help create an unforgettable experience for guests. By choosing a space that isn’t typically associated with fashion, such as a warehouse, a gallery, or a museum, it can add an element of surprise and intrigue to the show. Creative Runway The runway is the center of attention at a fashion show and designing a unique runway can help make it stand out. For example, creating a runway in the shape of a circle, or using unexpected materials like ice, can help the show make a lasting impression. Interesting Models Models should be carefully chosen for the show to ensure that they represent the designer’s vision and help create an interesting aesthetic. It can also be beneficial to choose models with diverse backgrounds and body types to help create an inclusive environment. Engaging Music Music is a key factor in setting the tone of the show and it should be chosen carefully. Music should be used to add energy and excitement to the show, and it should also be used to help transition from one look to the next. Dynamic Presentation The presentation of the fashion show should be creative and dynamic, and the designer should ensure that the show has a clear narrative. Presenting the collection in an interesting way, such as featuring models interacting with each other, or creating vignettes, can help make the show more engaging. Unique Finale The finale of the fashion show should be unique and exciting, and should leave the audience wanting more. This can be achieved by having models interact with each other, or by creating a memorable moment, such as a flash mob. Creating a unique and memorable fashion show takes creativity and planning, but the end result can be a show that stands out from the rest. By taking the time to carefully choose elements such as the venue, models, and presentation, designers can create a fashion show that really makes a statement.

The NYS Programme Affords Forty-five Thousand Youth Employment Opportunities that Uplift their Communities.

Johannesburg, 02 February 2023:  The Presidential Youth Employment Intervention (PYEI), a collaborative effort of the Presidency, the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) and the National Treasury’s Jobs Fund working together with the private sector, public sector and civil society, has announced that it successfully afforded 45,167 young people the opportunity to participate in the National Youth Service Programme (NYSP) in 2022 / 2023 as committed in the State of the Nation 2022. The revitalised NYS is designed to ensure that the most vulnerable and marginalised young people in South Africa can offer meaningful, quality service to their communities and receive income at the National Minimum Wage while growing their skills and employability. The four main sectors targeted for the NYSP are Sports and Recreation, Arts and Culture, Support Services in the Social Economy, and Community Revitalisation. In its role as the host and overseer of the implementation of the NYSP, the NYDA has made every effort to create an enabling environment to support its implementation. “The NYS programme hopes to instil in the youth: a culture of service by supporting them to participate constructively in nation-building, reinforcing their understanding of the role they play in the promotion of civic awareness and national reconstruction while helping them to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and ability, to make the transition into adulthood,” said NYDA Executive Chairperson, Ms Asanda Luwaca. According to research, volunteerism is a key trait that enables young people to meaningfully build social capital, leadership skills and the relevant soft skills necessary for their employability and active participation in civic matters, which is why it is such an integral component of NYSP. By collaborating with civil society organisations with a proven track record of working with vulnerable and marginalised young people, the NYSP hopes to produce a pool of tens of thousands of work-ready youths with an in-depth understanding of the value of active citizenship, patriotism and social cohesion. Harrowing accounts of the challenges facing young people in this country are abundant; as such, the strategic role of the NYSP in the current political and socio-economic context facing young people today cannot be overstated. “The scope and reach of the programme provide hope for youth development in our country, and the strength of the programme lies in its ability to target multiple areas of youth development.  Through community work, the programme’s benefits accrue to the broader society,” Luwaca continued. Working with communities is an essential aspect of the NYSP because through communities they can identify local needs to prioritise and address them effectively. “Building strong relationships with communities has been a critical aspect of the success of the NYSP. It is vital that communities feel a sense of ownership of these programmes to ensure success in their implementation. Moreover, the mobilisation of young people becomes easier when their communities are involved,” Luwaca continued. As a key outcome, the NYS programme aims to empower South Africa’s youth by linking programme participants to a slew of life-changing opportunities from formal employment, to further education and training opportunities, as well as entrepreneurial opportunities upon completion of the programme. “By the end of the 2022/2023 financial year-end, the NYSP’s target is to have at least 30 000 young people who have completed planned service activities and a significant number of these young people will be supported to transition out of the NYSP into other opportunities,” Luwaca concluded.  In re-establishing service as the core component of the programme, there is a clear view of impacting not only the youth participants in the programme but rather catalysing change across communities in South Africa, ensuring social cohesion and nation-building.
